Job summary

Tradebe UK is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform site maintenance at Transfer Stations across the Northwest region. You will keep sites safe, compliant and operating efficiently while improving maintenance records and site performance.

Responsibilities include maintenance at Knowsley, Image Park, Cheshire with occasional Hinckley visits, using the Planned Preventative Maintenance System and guiding the maintenance team to deliver reliable plant operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance and related qualifications.
• Familiar with PUWER, LOLER, Pressure Systems, Working at height, Confined Space Working, etc.
• Knowledge of electrical maintenance and welding is desirable.
• Basic computer skills to record and access maintenance data.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks at Knowsley, Image Park and Cheshire sites; occasional Hinckley visits.
• Use Planned Preventative Maintenance System to schedule and record tasks, plan future work.
• Manage the Maintenance Technician: workload, timekeeping, holidays and training.
• Ensure compliance with statutory health and safety requirements.
• Assist in developing maintenance techniques and plant transfer station capabilities.

Main purpose of job: To carry out site maintenance tasks at Tradebe Transfer Stations within the Northwest UK (plus visits to other sites). To maintain these site in a safe and compliant operational state and to proactively improve the maintenance records and operational efficiencies at these sites whilst maintaining the highest health & safety standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• To carry out maintenance tasks at Knowsley, Image Park and Cheshire sites as necessary, with occasional visits to Hinckley.
• To use the Planned Preventative Maintenance System to schedule and record all maintenance work on each site, proactively planning future maintenance tasks to maintain the smooth running of the plants.
• To manage the Maintenance Technician, including his workload, timekeeping holidays and training needs.
• To ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• To assist in delivering sector-leading levels of service and customer care.
• To select and control contractors to site when required. To ensure the company procedures regarding the health & safety of contractors are followed and maintained.
• Operation of Tradebe Permit to Work system.
• To assist in reviewing and developing maintenance techniques and procedures and plant & transfer station processing capabilities.
• To perform all other reasonable duties and tasks as requested.
