Maintenance Manager (Suffolk)

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead a multi-skilled engineering team, driving reliability, Continuous Improvement, and Lean practices across the site. You will manage maintenance plans, improve asset performance, and ensure operational and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team, fostering engagement and skills development.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, both reactive and preventative, to optimise reliability and production performance.
• Deliver maintenance improvement programs and reliability-centered initiatives on time and within budget.
• Manage contractors and internal engineers to ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with operational and process teams to implement Lean practices and optimise maintenance routines.
• Support senior leadership as required, ensuring continuity of engineering leadership.

Skills & Experience

• Vocational qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• NEBOSH or IOSH safety qualification.
• Strong industrial engineering experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in maintenance improvement, reliability initiatives, and Lean/CI implementation.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing teams, including contractor management.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, able to work across all levels of a business.
