The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel resort's maintenance operations, ensuring that all facilities, equipment and infrastructure are kept in excellent working condition. This role combines hands‑on technical skills with management and planning to maintain safety and high standards that enhance the guest experience. Undertake out of hours call‑out role as required.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily maintenance activities across all resort facilities including guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, spa, and back‑of‑house areas.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance programme (PPM) to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Respond promptly to urgent repair needs to minimise disruption to guests and operations.
- Ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems are functioning optimally.
- Supervise and motivate the maintenance team to ensure high performance, professionalism, and safety awareness.
- Delegate tasks effectively while providing technical support and guidance to staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify staff training needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation, fire regulations, and building codes.
- Carry out regular inspections to identify hazards, address safety concerns, and maintain documentation for audits.
- Oversee statutory inspections for lifts, boilers, fire alarm systems, and other regulated equipment.
- Work closely with other departments to address maintenance issues impacting the guest experience.
- Ensure prompt and professional resolution of guest complaints related to facilities.
- Coordinate refurbishment, renovation, and capital improvement projects in liaison with contractors and vendors.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, and to quality standards.
