Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Location: HM Naval Base, Portsmouth (HMNBP)
Service Area: Asset Management
Hours of Work: 37 Per week

Responsibilities

The Asset Maintenance Manager plays a central leadership role within the Engineering Assurance and Compliance Team (EnACT), reporting directly to the Delivery Assurance Lead. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust maintenance systems that support the operational integrity of Portsmouth Naval Base (PNB). A key aspect of the role involves managing the full lifecycle of asset data—from initial registration through to final disposal, within the Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system, ensuring all records are accurate, consistent, and aligned with strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and maintaining comprehensive maintenance plans and strategies that promote asset reliability, performance, and longevity across the estate. Additionally, the role of Maintenance Manager involves implementing best practices, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing asset data through the CAFM system. The Maintenance Manager\'s responsibilities encompass conducting site audits, preparing reports for senior management, and developing maintenance plans aligned with asset lifecycles. By integrating predictive maintenance techniques and collaborating with delivery and engineering teams, the manager supports long-term asset sustainability. Additionally, they provide leadership to the CAFM Administrator and Asset Registration Coordinator, ensuring effective data management and departmental performance.

The role demands someone who can operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines with confidence and familiarity with the SFG20 maintenance standard would be advantageous, supporting consistent and compliant maintenance planning across Portsmouth Naval Base.
