You'll play a vital role in ensuring everything runs smoothly, from fixing minor repairs to overseeing safety standards.

What You’ll Do
  • Building Oversight: Keep the home secure, safe, and well‑maintained for residents, visitors, and team members.
  • Repairs & Decoration: Complete minor repairs promptly and maintain high standards of decoration.
  • Compliance Management: Lead on key safety checks and documentation, including Fire Risk Assessments, Legionella checks, and Health & Safety compliance.
  • DIY & Reactive Maintenance: Handle general repairs—fixing beds, replacing taps or sockets, hanging photo frames.
  • Contractor Coordination: Manage external contractors and ensure outsourced work meets quality standards.
  • Environmental Monitoring: Check water systems and room temperatures to maintain safety standards.
  • Emergency Response: Deal with urgent issues, including out‑of‑hours situations.
  • Resident Interaction: Build positive relationships with residents while working respectfully in a care environment.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience in a building maintenance management role, ideally in healthcare or similar environments.
  • Knowledge: Health & Safety regulations, COSHH, risk assessments, and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM).
  • Skills: Strong technical ability, contractor management, and basic IT skills.
  • Qualities: Self‑motivated, adaptable, excellent communication, and problem‑solving skills.
