Responsibilities

• Maintenance Fitter position dealing with the production equipment for a high quality range of timber products produced in a sawmill
• Keeping equipment down time to a minimum
• Manage, repair, adjust and maintain production equipment, machinery or instruments to ensure they function reliably
• Respond to break-downs and other operating problems and complete planned maintenance activities
• Maintain detail records so that recurring problems can be identified and addressed
• Set, calibrate or adjust equipment, machinery and instruments to comply with production specifications or instructions
• Sign off completed maintenance works

Requirements / Ideal applicant

• Must have maintenance experience working with heavy manufacturing/industrial machinery
• Must have come from a mechanical background
• Experienced in fault finding and working within a heavy manufacturing environment
• Must have a sound understanding of H&S practices
• Prepared to get “hands dirty”
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Personable, team player, problem solver, driven and enthusiastic

Remuneration and schedule

Remuneration: £29,000-£37,000 (£15.54-£20.17+ 20% shift bonus)

Schedule: Thursday-Sunday (0800 – 1800)
