Role

Are you a Maintenance Fitter looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation? At Tarmac, we are on the lookout for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Maltby.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day maintenance activities which include planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
  • Meeting statutory and SHE standards as a minimum
  • Working on a variety of plant throughout the block manufacturing site as directed on a planned or reactive basis
  • Recording all work on the site CMMS system
  • This is a dynamic role, mostly self-motivated and self-supervised with good communication skills. Please note this role operates a rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm and any prospective candidates must be willing to work these shifts
The Ideal Candidate
  • IOSH training will be an advantage
  • Experience of maintaining/replacement of mechanical parts including bearings, shafts, rollers
  • Skilled with hand tools, bearing presses and fitting tools
  • Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment
  • Experience in maintaining and repair of mechanical equipment
  • Experience in welding and/or pipefitting would be advantageous
