Your Job

As the Maintenance & Facilities Manager, you will ensure the smooth operation, safety, and functionality of our buildings, equipment, and infrastructure. Responsible for preventive and reactive maintenance of site machinery and ancillary equipment, you will also act as the on‑site Security Officer. You will manage vendor relationships and contractors to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This is a hands‑on role involving maintenance tasks, team supervision, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Our Team

Reporting to the Site Director at Edenbridge, you will collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager & Compliance Manager, Production Management, and other departments. You will supervise onsite cleaning services and oversee and manage relationships with contractors and respective contracts to maintain high standards of safety and security.

What You Will Do
  • Follow all Company and Health & Safety policies in daily operations.
  • Perform and coordinate maintenance and repairs on machinery, plant, buildings, grounds, and assets.
  • Lead Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities, owning the schedule and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maximise equipment uptime and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure availability and management of parts, materials, and key spares.
  • Manage machine installations, relocations, and support production to meet utilisation targets.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and related performance metrics.
  • Maintain equipment manuals, apply software updates, and manage supplier alerts.
  • Coordinate with Compliance Manager to ensure regulatory and statutory compliance.
  • Serve as the site Security Officer, implementing security systems per KOCH standards.
  • Maintain electrical (including 3‑phase), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; ensure competency in LOTO and Permit to Work.
  • Conduct safety system installations and testing (fire systems, safety curtains, etc.).
  • Oversee contractors on‑site to ensure compliance with health, safety, and security policies.
  • Plan and execute space utilisation and office moves.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your team to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Apprenticeship and GCSEs (Maths and English, grades A‑C) or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • Electrical competency with BS7671 (Ed 18 or equivalent).
  • Experience in a Maintenance / Facilities role, ideally from a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system maintenance and installation.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements including Risk Assessments, COSHH, PPE, and readiness to pursue NEBOSH certification.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety statutory requirements in manufacturing.
  • Skilled in maintenance and testing of production equipment, with good organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
  • Effective communicator, able to work independently and in teams within a matrix structure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Experience managing vendor contracts and leading cross‑departmental projects.
