Job Overview

Our Norse TFM division are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance & Facilities Assistant to join our FM team on a permanent, full‑time basis. In this role, you will provide a high‑quality maintenance service to a wide range of NHS properties at Cromer Hospital whilst supporting properties in the surrounding area. You will be responsible for providing an effective caretaking service, ensuring that the environment is kept maintained, clean and hazard free. This involves providing comprehensive Caretaking, Portering, Maintenance, Cleaning and Security service to promote the smooth running of the hospital for users and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Movement of stock, equipment and patients by bed, trolley, chair or walking (escorting) through the hospital to and from ambulances.
• Conducting general maintenance duties which include planned and preventive maintenance.
• Ensuring that the allocated area is maintained in a clean and organised state to provide a clean environment for the local NHS Trust and the general public.
• Ensuring the security of the buildings, their contents and hospital grounds by completing frequent patrols throughout the buildings and site.
• Supply our clients with professional, safe, compliant, effective and efficient estates and maintenance services throughout all customer properties whilst adhering to all relevant Norse Policies & Procedures, Workplace Regulations, Health & Safety Legislation and best practice guidelines.

Essential Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
• Security Industry Authority trained (training will be given).
• Previous experience within a similar role (Cleaning, Maintenance, Portering) would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

Schedule

Take part in a rolling rota – 4 on 6 off 12‑hour shifts, 08:00–20:00. 40 hours per week, 12 hours 4 on 6 off (2 day 2 night).

Remuneration & Benefits

• A competitive salary of £30,804.80 per annum.
• 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays.
