Job summary

Amey is seeking experienced maintenance personnel based in Wales to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across sites, including duties as an Authorised Person. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £30,231 – £33,381 plus additional allowances for weekend work and skills.

Ideal candidates will have a practical maintenance background, the ability to work independently, and pass a driving licence. Benefits include a company van, training, holiday, and flexibility.

Location: Wales (Based from HMP Cardiff – covering regional sites)
Contract: Permanent | Full-time 39 hours per week (08:00–17:00) + 1 in 4 weekends (15% shift allowance)

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
• Supporting a range of building systems and compliance tasks
• Acting as an Authorised Person (training provided)
• Following safety and security procedures
• Taking part in an on-call and weekend rota

You’ll work across a small number of sites, giving you variety without excessive travel.

What we’re looking for

• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Basic health & safety and IT awareness

Experience in areas such as fire safety, emergency lighting, water checks or general compliance would be beneficial—but not essential.
