Recruiting on behalf of a well‑established food manufacturing company based in Redditch who are looking to add a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of food production machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve breakdowns quickly and safely.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out to site and food safety standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, ideally within a food, FMCG, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical skills (experience with conveyors, pumps, motors, bearings, pneumatics, etc.).
  • Basic electrical understanding would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
