A recruitment agency is seeking a Maintenance Engineer based in Basingstoke to support a manufacturing facility. This role involves both planned preventative and reactive maintenance, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems. Successful candidates will have strong troubleshooting abilities and previous experience in a manufacturing setting. The position offers a salary of £42,000 and involves a shift pattern of early and late rotations.
Maintenance Engineer (mechanical bias) – Salary: £42,000
Shifts: Earlies (6am-2pm) / Lates (2pm-10pm), rotating
This is a multi-skilled mechanically biased maintenance role based at a full-scale manufacturing facility. The site includes an on-site laboratory and production lines manufacturing over 30 products, with key customers across the UK, Europe, and Asia.
The position involves a balance of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. You will also support specialist contractors carrying out both routine and emergency tasks.
PPM Work: 65%
Reactive Maintenance: 35%
Frequent Issues: Sensor-related faults
Support: Liaising with contractors on site when needed
Spray dryers, evaporators, welding bays, labeling machines, silos, refrigerators, mills, and blenders.
