Overview

Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical
The Princess Grace Hospital, London
Full time 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 with on call and weekends also required 1 in 5).
Permanent

Competitive salary per annum + excellent benefits

What you’ll do

• To carry out Mechanical plant PPMS e.g. AHUs, Split Units, Fan Coils, Compressors, filter replacements, controls troubleshooting, minor repairs, plumbing skills
• Support with cross discipline PPMs as required: water safety PPMs, Patient room PPMs, handy man work
• To work on planned preventive maintenance schedules, in line with departmental goals and objectives
• To respond to emergency maintenance and reactive maintenance as requested
• To prioritise work requests and carry them out efficiently
• To supervise external contractors as directed by the Chief Engineer
• To carry out all work in adherence to Health and Safety and COSHH policies and guidelines
• To operate a shift system or On Call as required
• To document all work accurately
• To assist in projects as required
• Out of hours work and overtime available and willing

What you’ll bring

• Qualified in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds or NVQ mechanical, or an engineering building services qualification
• Previous experience within a Hospital or similar organisation
• Health and Safety, COSHH
• General knowledge of Fire regulations
• Excellent customer care and communication skills
• Must have a flexible approach to work
• Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills
