Maintenance Engineer, Milton Keynes Salary: £56,000 Continental shift (day/night rotation)

Mechanical or Electrical bias Maintenance Engineer wanted to keep production lines running smoothly. The role can be 80% mechanical / 20% electrical or 80% electrical / 20% mechanical, depending on your skill set. If you're a hands‑on problem solver with strong mechanical and/or electrical skills, this could be the perfect fit.

Responsibilities
  • Keep production moving – perform planned and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnose and fix faults – minimize downtime and improve efficiency
  • Hands‑on work – welding, lathes, milling, and general fabrication
  • Electrical troubleshooting – basic to intermediate fault‑finding on machinery
  • Improve and innovate – collaborate with the team to enhance processes
Qualifications
  • Mechanical or electrical engineering background in a production setting
  • Hands‑on experience with fabrication, welding, milling, and lathe work (mechanical bias)
  • Electrical fault‑finding skills (electrical bias)
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Experience in manufacturing or the food industry is a bonus
