Maintenance Electrician – Manufacturing (Leeds)

Location: LS11, Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £51,500 including shift allowance + overtime

Shifts: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (days & nights) + 1 x 12-hour Sunday shift (1 in 4 rotation)

If you’re the kind of spark who takes pride in keeping the kit running smooth and steady, this could be just the ticket. We’re after a hands‑on Maintenance Electrician to keep a busy Leeds manufacturing site ticking over – fixing, improving, and making sure production doesn’t skip a beat.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Getting stuck into both planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical kit – motors, drives, PLCs, pumps, pneumatics – the lot.
  • Fault‑finding and repairs that keep downtime to a minimum (you’ll know how much that matters on shift).
  • Working to a proper PPM schedule and helping improve plant reliability.
  • Reading schematics and wiring diagrams without breaking stride.
  • Teaming up with operators, fellow engineers and contractors to get things sorted safely and efficiently.
  • Handing over cleanly at the end of shift so everyone knows where things stand.
About You
  • You’ve got a recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / BTEC HNC).
  • You’ve worked in a fast‑moving manufacturing or packaging environment.
  • You’re confident fault‑finding on electrical systems and PLCs.
  • You’ve got a bit of mechanical know‑how to back up your electrical skills.
  • You’re steady, reliable and safety‑minded, with a can‑do attitude and good communication.
  • You’re up for both days and nights – teamwork’s key here.
  • (Experience with Heidelberg, Manroland, or Bobst kit would be a bonus, but not essential.)
What’s On Offer
  • Up to £51,500 (shift allowance included)
  • 3 x 12‑hour shifts each week + 1 in 4 Sundays
  • Overtime available
  • Contributory pension & life assurance
  • Supportive team and ongoing training – no one’s left to muddle through on their own
