We are seeking a skilled and proactive mechanical maintenance engineer to ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our production equipment. This role is essential to keeping our plant running efficiently and safely, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (mills, conveyors, material handling systems).
  • Replace worn mechanical parts (bearings, gearboxes, rollers, belts) before failure.
  • Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs on heavy machinery.
  • Support major shutdowns and overhauls, ensuring work is completed safely and on time.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • Recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, or Fabrication.
  • Strong background in maintaining and repairing cement production machinery.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, and drive systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and mechanical schematics.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in dusty/hot plant environments.
