Role – Maintenance Engineer
  • Salary: up to £47,000 (+Overtime)
  • Location: Wiltshire
  • Shift Pattern: Days and Double Days

The Company

A well established and reputable company whose turnover is in the millions, which in turn offers incredible stability and security within the industry. As a market leader that is constantly evolving and growing as a business, they have invested to bring in a number of new assets with some of the latest automation and technology to site. They provide bespoke and high‑quality products to meet the unique needs across various industries, with a healthy and growing order book meaning there may be more investments to keep up with demand. As what they do is very niche they have onsite training as well as putting their engineers through external qualifications. They believe in investing in the business as well as their people to keep them above their competition.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team of engineers, responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance and service of all the state‑of‑the‑art kit on site, as well as continuous improvement tasks.
  • Work on Three‑Phase Motors, and in panels with sensors, relays, contactors, invertors, fuses, power supplies, breakers, switches.
  • Read through electrical schematics, utilising electrical test equipment such as multi‑meters and fault‑finding on panels.
  • Mechanically replace worn‑out parts on the conveyors, which include rollers, bearings and pulleys.
  • Also work on Gearboxes, Shafts, Belts, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
  • Swap both electrical and mechanical components like for like with odd strip and rebuild projects.
  • Work with latest technology, working with a CMMS utilising the tablet‑based PPM and reactive work.
Qualifications
  • Recognised Engineering Qualification, or equivalent.
  • Maintenance experience within an industrial environment including FMCG, manufacturing, food, packaging, and warehousing.
  • Electrical or mechanical fault‑finding skills, looking at root cause analysis.
  • PLC or controls experience would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work well within a team and help support colleagues on shift.
