Maintenance Engineer needed to work within a well‑established, continuously expanding manufacturing business operating 24/7.

Shifts are available on a rotating 6–2 / 2–10 pattern, as well as permanent nights, offering flexibility depending on preference and experience. Salary is negotiable, dependent on skills and experience.

This role would suit someone with an electrical bias and strong mechanical understanding, ideally with experience in reactive and preventative maintenance, PLC‑controlled machinery, and continuous improvement activities.

Key responsibilities
  • Electrical and mechanical maintenance of automated production equipment
  • Diagnosing faults and minimising downtime
  • Supporting TPM and reliability initiatives
  • Collaborating with production and quality teams to improve efficiency and output
  • Working both independently and as part of a small engineering team
Desired experience
  • NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Skilled in PLC fault finding, AC/DC drives, and general control systems
  • Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and safety procedures
  • Proven experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing or production environment
