Job Title: Electrician

Location: Peterlee

Salary: £36,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:00pm

About the Role

The Thrive Group are looking for a qualified, proactive Electrician to join the engineering team at a busy manufacturing site. You'll play a key role in keeping production lines running smoothly, safely, and efficiently - minimising downtime and ensuring electrical systems are reliable across all areas of the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production line equipment and factory electrical systems.
  • Diagnose faults and repair or replace components to keep lines operational.
  • Ensure all electrical work meets 17th/18th Edition standards and complies with site safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying potential upgrades or reliability issues.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain a safe, high-performing work environment.
  • Complete maintenance records and adhere to company procedures and compliance standards.
What you need
  • Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 / HNC (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent.
  • 17th or 18th Edition certification.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently. Reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
