Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Maintenance Engineer/Technician for a permanent position in Glasgow. The successful candidate will work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing workshop, performing maintenance and repairs on CNC machinery and other equipment. Ideal applicants should have a background in heavy engineering and mechanical bias, along with proper health and safety knowledge. Immediate interview opportunities are available.

  • Mechanical and electrical capabilities essential.
  • Desirable to have IPAF or equivalent certification.

Maintenance Engineer / Technician – Maxwell Consultancy

Maxwell Consultancy is working with a global market leader in a search for a Maintenance Engineer/Technician. Working in their state of the art manufacturing workshop in Glasgow. This is a permanent position working Monday to Thursday (Fridays off).

The business is going from strength to strength in recent times and has the latest CNC machinery in their workshop.

What's required?
  • Experience in heavy engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical bias with electrical capabilities
  • Service and repair manual CNC machinery, carrying out diagnostics and repairs
  • Maintenance of site infrastructure, plant and equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Assist in developing maintenance procedures and programs.
  • Ensure that health, safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
  • Understand drawings and O&M manuals, assisting in identifying and sourcing components.
  • Provide on‑going support and training to peers and apprentices where required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and project activities when required.
  • IPAF or equivalent certification is desirable.
  • Forklift truck counterbalance license.
  • Experience in lifting and slinging is desirable.
