Job summary

ITM Power in Sheffield is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support the Lead Maintenance Engineer in daily activities focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. You will work with state‑of‑the‑art automation and perform pre‑planned maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires a time‑served maintenance background, experience with automated manufacturing or process plants, and a strong ability to read drawings. A proactive attitude towards safety and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

Recognised engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
IOSH Working or Managing Safely desirable.
Experienced time served maintenance engineer.
Experience in automated manufacturing or process plant maintenance.
Ability to read technical drawings (P&IDs, schematics, mechanical drawings).
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

Execute planned, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
Support reliability improvement initiatives, including RCM & FMEA.
Diagnose equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards and drive continuous improvement.
