An established Global Engineering Automation Leader in the UK is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support equipment operations and career development. You will engage in fault-finding, assist engineers, and have opportunities for technical training and certifications. This position includes benefits such as a pension and 22 days of holiday, with an OTE of £42,000.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or FMCG automation environment.
  • Basic maintenance work in an electrical or mechanical environment.
  • Capability to assist Engineers with equipment servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to automation equipment issues.
  • Prioritize system faults.
  • Assist in resolving mechanical and electrical faults.

Skills

Work experience in manufacturing or automation
Basic knowledge in electrical or mechanical environment
Ability to read and understand basic drawings
Logical approach to fault-finding

NVQ in engineering, mechanical or electrical

  • Work experience in a manufacturing, production, or FMCG automation environment.
  • Basic work within an electrical or mechanical environment
  • To carry out an initial response to our automation equipment
  • Prioritise basic system faults
  • Support and assist Engineers with equipment servicing
  • Compliant with Health & Safety legislation.
  • Assist with the resolution of any equipment faults – Mechanical / Electrical
  • The Maintenance Assistant will support the continual improvement of the site
Knowledge - Maintenance Assistant
  • Ability to read and understand basic drawings and instructions
  • Have a logical approach to fault-finding and resolution
Qualifications

NVQ in engineering, mechanical or electrical is desirable, nevertheless not essential
