Job Type: Permanent

Our manufacturing Client on the outskirts of Dartford is seeking a Maintenance Engineer – the role is to assist in day-to-day plant operations, programming machines, validating programs and ensuring production is always supported. The successful candidate will continually improve manufacturing efficiencies by utilizing continuous improvement techniques whilst maintaining a high level of quality.

Job Details

Job role: Permanent, full time

Salary: £40,000+ pa depending on experience/skill level

Location: Near Dartford, Kent

Hours: 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week

Holiday: 25 days + 8 BH

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Understanding lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Understanding of computerised manufacturing systems (ERP, MRP).
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Able to communicate, both within the working group and the organisation.
  • Understanding project management and prioritize multiple projects

Ideally degree educated – electromechanical

Able to write programs for a variety of machines

Hands on maintenance and problem solving experience

Experience within manufacturing (non food)
