A leading engineering solutions provider in the West Bromwich Area is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a days-based shift. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical issues and carrying out preventative maintenance. Responsibilities

• Log all work carried out on the maintenance system.

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to work a days-based shift pattern (7am - 3:30pm) for a growing manufacturer located in the West Bromwich Area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance issues in the plant.
• React to breakdowns and carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks and fault finding within a mechanical and electrical environment.
• Ensure all breakdowns are kept to a minimum.
• Follow best mechanical and electrical engineering practices.
• Ensure all planned work is completed with minimal disruption to production.
• Log all work carried out on the maintenance system.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Candidates ideally City and Guilds/BTEC trained in an engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical) or Time served apprentice.
• Electrical knowledge for circuitry and fault finding is essential, but applications are welcome from engineers biased mechanically or electrically as a robust training plan will be initiated on joining the business.
