A leading engineering services provider in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer to support their manufacturing business. In this permanent role, you will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and ensure compliance with operational standards, alongside excellent benefits including private healthcare. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance.
  • Perform Electrical and Mechanical PPMs and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain pumps, motors, and critical mechanical systems.

Skills

Electrical systems understanding
Mechanical systems knowledge
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
IT Literacy including MS Office
Knowledge of PLC and Asibus/Profibus controls

Education

City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical or Mechanical

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs), reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and general maintenance
  • Perform Electrical and Mechanical PPMs and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all systems are in compliance with statutory requirements and operational standards.
  • Work with three-phase and single-phase electrical systems
  • Maintain pumps, motors, Variable Speed Drives, and other critical mechanical systems.
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similair manufacturing / engineering environment
  • Apprentice-trained and experienced
  • City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical or Mechanical (or equivalent).
  • Engineering Qualification (City/Guilds level 3 or equivalent, electrically biased)
  • Food manufacturing experience advantageous
  • IT Literate including MS Office suite
  • Knowledge of PLC and Asibus/Profibus controls
