Job summary

Greencore is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer at our Warrington site (Italian centre of excellence). You will carry out fault finding, preventative maintenance and respond to production needs to maximise time on line.

Ideal candidates are apprentice-trained engineers with Level 3 qualifications, experienced in electrical and mechanical fault finding within manufacturing/FMCG. Proactive, eager to learn, and safety-conscious candidates will fit well in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an engineer with an accredited apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Experience working in manufacturing/FMCG environment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out fault finding, problem solving and preventative maintenance on plant equipment to maximise reliability.
• Responding to internal customer needs to maximise production time according to priorities.
• Complying with food safety standards and controls to ensure work is carried out safely.
• Completing documentation to keep it accurate and audit-ready.
• Identify opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or efficiency.
• Maintenance on a range of manufacturing/production/packaging machinery.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out fault finding, problem solving and planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance
• Responding to internal customer needs to maximise production time according to given priorities
• Complying with food safety standards and controls to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely
• Completing all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit ready
• Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintenance on a range of manufacturing/production/packaging machinery

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - rotating days and nights

What We're Looking For:

People who have experience operating as an engineer, following a completed accredited apprenticeship or equivalent experience with appropriate Level 3 qualification

As one of our maintenance engineers you will

• Be an apprentice trained engineer with a relevant qualifications
• Have experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing/FMCG or similar
• Utilise a proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop
• Have experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding
