Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: South Gloucestershire

Type: Full‑Time, Permanent, 40 hours/week

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Role Overview

This is a hands‑on maintenance role supporting the workshop, yard and equipment. You’ll carry out routine maintenance on buildings and outside areas, organise and move equipment and help keep workshop and yard areas tidy and safe. The role also involves site visits to position or remove equipment and assisting other departments with practical tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out general building and site maintenance
  • Organise storage of equipment and ensure workshop areas are tidy
  • Move and load equipment, liaising with the yard to coordinate dispatch
  • Visit sites to assess, set up, or remove equipment
  • Maintain workshop and yard areas in a safe and clean condition
  • Assist other departments with practical tasks as needed
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including vehicle checks
  • Comply with quality and environmental standards (ISO 9001/14001) and contribute to continuous improvement
Skills and Experience
  • General maintenance skills
  • CSCS/CPCS/ECS card preferred
  • Forklift licence preferred
  • Slinger/Banksman and MEWP licences preferred (training can be provided)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
