Job summary

A leading environmental services provider in England is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide site maintenance support. The ideal candidate will hold CompEx qualifications and have experience in fault finding and process control instruments. Qualifications

Job description
Maintenance Engineer – Wirral, UK

Location: Wirral, ENG – CH49 5LJ

Responsibilities
  • Compliance with all Veolia and H&S policies and procedures.
  • Provide site EC&CI maintenance support on a day’s basis.
  • Safe isolation of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Overhaul and testing of the site's EC&CI equipment.
  • Inspection, testing and service of all site electrical equipment.
  • Fixed wiring defect repair of all site electrical equipment.
  • Fault diagnosis and resolution of EC&CI problems across site.
  • Calibration of site instrumentation equipment.
  • Installation and commissioning of minor EC&CI projects.
  • Assist with mechanical breakdowns.
  • Work with the site team to efficiently resolve repeat problems.
  • Involvement in health and safety audits and improvements.
  • Involvement in continuous improvement activities.
  • Use of organisational CMMS system.
Qualifications
  • CompEx 1-4 qualified.
  • Experienced in fault finding 4-20mA, single and 3‑phase systems.
  • Proficient in process control instruments such as control valves and level sensors.
  • Good understanding of inverters, PID controllers and SCADA.
  • Basic mechanical comprehension to assist with breakdowns.
