Overview

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company based near Birmingham City Centre.

The company operates a modern off-site manufacturing plant producing insulated wall panels and roof cassettes, offering fabric-first solutions for the new home construction sector.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Strip, inspect, and reassemble machinery
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Perform preventative maintenance and servicing
  • Install and commission new equipment
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and service reports
  • Ensure parts and consumables are well-stocked
  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • You will be a hands-on engineer with a proven track record in maintenance and repair within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong fault-finding skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
Hours and Pay

Shift pattern: 3-week rotating shifts - mornings, afternoons, and nights (Monday to Friday)

Pay rate: £21.86 per hour (equivalent to £42,627 per annum)

Contract: Temporary to permanent following a successful trial period
