A long-established manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the effective operation of machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, fault-finding skills, and must hold the 18th Edition certification. This role demands flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a team-oriented environment. Competitive pay at £35K OTE with additional overtime opportunities.

  • Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Comfortable with tools, drawings, schematics, and control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of machinery.
  • Conduct reactive maintenance as needed.
  • Fault find PLC and other machinery components.

Maintenance Engineer Role:

£35K OTE

1 in 3 Saturday Call

Overtime Available (Sunday after 2pm 2x)

Aylesbury

Days 8am - 5pm

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance responsibility
  • Reactive Maintenance
  • PLC Fault Finding
  • Roller Mills, Plan sifters, Purifiers, Conveyors
  • Chains, Belts, Bearings
  • AC/DC Motors, 3 Phase Motors
  • Packaging Equipement
Experience and Qualification:

Electrically biased or Mechanically biased

18th Edition required

NVQ Level 3 preferred

HNC preferred

What we're looking for:
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge; electrical skills desirable (or vice versa)
  • Ability to fault-find and repair a wide range of plant and processing machinery
  • Comfortable working with tools, drawings, schematics, and control systems
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours work or shift patterns if needed
  • Safety-conscious, team-oriented, and reliable
