The Maintenance Engineer vacancy is working with a leading manufacturing company based in the Maidstone area of Kent. Development and training for the right candidate with a good mix of overtime which is paid at 1.5x and 2x.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Providing plant‑wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained – maintaining factory manufacturing machinery.
• Monitor & supply engineering support of machine set‑up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible.
• Keeping and implementing plant‑wide PPM structures ensuring H&S, quality assurance as well as liaising with Engineering Stores.
• Working within a small team and along side contractors to diagnose breakdowns and electrical faults across the plant.

Experience and Qualifications

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent, e.g. NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or HNC and HND – Electrical.
• Time served Electrical Engineer or as Maintenance Engineer.
• Skills in breakdowns, installations, inverters and PLCs.
• Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.
• High degree of health & safety awareness.
