Job description

Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who wants to work a Monday to Friday days? Core hours Mon-Thurs 8am to 5:30pm and Fri 8am to 5pm - Flexibility to change these hours if desired but a pattern needs to be set.

If so, then please read on.

The basics:

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical

Location: Syston - Leicester

Industry: Manufacturing - Heavy Engineering/Production environment.

Pay: £20.04 per hour working Monday to Friday days. The other engineers work a 4on 4off day shift pattern 6am to 6pm and therefore should you cover a shift for sickness or holidays you would achieve £25.06 per hour. (earnings of £46000 and upwards expected with some shift cover)

Call out roster: receiving £20 per call out and a min of 4hrs paid at OT rates for each call out. - discuss further at interview stage.

Overtime: 1.5 Mon-Fri and double on Sundays

Holidays: 29 days holiday including bank holidays

With manufacturing facilities located across the globe you will be working in an automated production environment that will involve projects, installations along with planned and re‑active maintenance.

Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role:

To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.

Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns.

PPM's

The ideal candidate / Maintenance Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
  • Time served apprenticeship
  • Strong Maintenance background working in a medium to heavy engineering environment beneficial
  • Any fabrication experience beneficial
  • Educated in a relevant engineering discipline - City and Guilds/NVQ level 3/HNC/HND etc

Commutable from: Leicester, Syston, Thurmaston, Melton Mowbray, Loughborough and surrounding areas.
