Nightshift Maintenance Engineer – Stowmarket

Salary up to £46k + £4K Shift Allowance

Rapid personnel are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work for a leading Food Manufacturing company based in Stowmarket. Salary up to £46,000 + £4K shift Allowance + Benefits

The company is an industry leader within food manufacturing supplying to some of the biggest supermarkets in the UK. They have a team of highly motivated Engineers that are extremely driven and pride themselves on maintaining and servicing a busy food production site.

Due to recent retirements, they are looking to appoint several Maintenance engineers to work on a nightshift on a permanent basis.

In this role as a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining various machines within a food production site to ensure minimal downtime. You will be responsible for rewiring machines, replacing motors, plugs and other components across the entire Production. You will also be following a PPM (Preventative Planned Maintenance) schedule where you will monitor and maintain the entire site. As part of this role, you will from time to time help to maintain the facilities as well, this could include fixing doors, trolleys etc.

Essential Requirements :

  • A minimum of 1 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer
  • Electrically biased
  • A basic understanding of PLC’s
  • Able to work on a night shift

Nice to Have

  • Experience within Food Manufacturing
  • 17th or 18th edition
