Maintenance Engineer

Location: Stourbridge, West Midlands

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm (flexibility available)

Type: Permanent

Salary: £42,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on plant and production equipment
  • Respond promptly to machine breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and materials
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production operators and external contractors
  • Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Support and lead project installations, equipment upgrades, and process improvements
What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance engineering role, ideally within manufacturing or plastics processing although not essential

Strong technical knowledge across:

  • Mechanical and electrical systems
  • Pneumatics, hydraulics, combustion systems, and instrumentation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A proactive, problem‑solving mindset and a strong sense of ownership
