Overview:

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Roof Tile Factory, Lisburn.

As Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative and safe maintenance on all equipment and machinery within the Plant to minimize downtime and increase operational effectiveness while maintaining exceptionally high standards of safety and quality.

More about what you will do…
  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety working practices and legislative regulations
  • Maintain & implement planned, preventative and predicative maintenance as per schedules for all equipment and plant and report key findings.
  • Participate in review of all equipment OEE and react in order to maintain production levels taking account of quality parameters, safety parameters and the engineering requirements of the plant.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with the relevant legislation.
  • Maintain all records, documentation and literature in compliance with company safety, health, environmental and quality standards
  • Work with production to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the production process
  • Communicate with appointed contractors to ensure planned activities are successfully completed
  • Perform the job in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, especially the Equal Opportunities and Harassment Policy.
  • Perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time-to-time.
What we need from you…
  • Recognised trade qualification in plant maintenance and ideally 5 years relevant industry experience
  • Working knowledge and experience of production lines and conveyor systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience and maintenance of PLC based manufacturing systems
  • Experience in fabrication and welding
  • Team Player with ability to maintain effective working relationships across all levels
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Flexibility in relation to working skills/ hours to meet business needs
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload
