Job summary

A well-established manufacturing business in Milton Keynes seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Qualifications include a Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and strong hands-on experience with CNC and other machinery. This permanent role offers a salary of up to £45K, with flexible hours from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Service, repair, and maintain bar saws, CNCs, and other types of machinery.
  • Set up and operate various machines to support production needs.
  • Record all maintenance activities accurately on the internal system.

Maintenance Engineer

Are you a hands‑on Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical skills? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Milton Keynes, working as part of a small, supportive team responsible for maintaining a range of production machinery and site facilities.

You’ll be carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across bar saws, CNC machines, and other mechanical equipment, as well as assisting with general site and building maintenance.

Job details:

  • Up to £45,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday – flexible hours between 8 am and 6 pm
  • Permanent role
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Service, repair, and maintain bar saws, CNCs, and other types of machinery
  • Set up and operate various machines to support production needs
  • Fault‑finding and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues
  • Record all maintenance activities accurately on the internal system
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
  • Assist external contractors when required
What We’re Looking For
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety regulations
  • Confident using hand tools and testing equipment
  • PC literate and accurate record‑keeper
  • Self‑motivated, analytical, and detail‑oriented
  • Hands‑on experience with CNC and other automated machinery
