Job summary

A food manufacturing agency in Market Weighton is looking for a hands-on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Job description

A good food manufacturing site is seeking a hands‑on Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep production running smoothly. You’ll maintain, repair and optimise machinery while supporting continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair plant and equipment, diagnosing and resolving breakdowns quickly
  • Deliver preventative maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, hygiene and H&S standards
  • Maintain accurate records and assist senior management as required
  • Flexible approach with on‑call duties during peak periods
Requirements
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Hands‑on experience in food manufacturing
  • 16th/17th/18th Edition or equivalent
  • Strong problem‑solving, organisation and communication skills
Desirable
  • NEBOSH/IOSH, food hygiene qualification, previous experience in a food production engineering role
