Duties
  • Days work (flexi)
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability projects across production lines
  • Work on pumps, gearboxes, furnaces, presses and other bespoke process machinery
  • Collaborate with the electrical team to minimise downtime and maintain safety standards
  • Contribute to site upgrades, installations and machinery improvement projects
Requirements
  • Recognised electrical qualifications
  • Time-served or qualified Mechanical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or process environment
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills on mechanical systems
  • Confident working to planned maintenance schedules and responding to breakdowns
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and general fabrication/welding advantageous
