Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills, looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced production environment? We're working on behalf of a leading manufacturing client to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their skilled engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of maintenance activities and contribute to the ongoing performance and reliability of key production equipment.

The Role

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for first-line maintenance support across multiple departments, with a focus on electrical diagnostics, equipment reliability, and ensuring minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced electrical fault-finding and repair on production machinery.
• Carry out maintenance, calibration, and servicing of vacuum pumps and production equipment.
• Lead root cause analysis of breakdowns and drive long-term corrective solutions.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities of the maintenance team, including assigning tasks and overseeing contractors.
• Plan and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Maintain accurate logs, maintenance records, and KPI reporting.
• Champion health & safety compliance in all maintenance operations.
• Mentor and support junior team members in technical best practices.

What We're Looking For

• A background in a similar Maintenance Engineer role within manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong electrical experience, ideally with formal qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, 18th Edition or equivalent).
• Experience working with vacuum equipment, and production line machinery.
• Confident in leading maintenance activities and working collaboratively across departments.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
