Job description

Role: Mentainence Engineer

Location: Tamworth

Hours: 42 hours per week (day shift)

Pay: £40,000 - £48,000

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment, responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance, installations, and safety-compliant repairs in line with schedules and company standards.
  • Record all maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS system and support continuous improvement through high-quality workmanship.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, maintain a safe and organised workshop, and uphold all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Essential Experience
  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering or a similar technical role
  • Competency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
  • Familiarity with planned preventive maintenance processes
  • Ability to use and update CMMS or other maintenance tracking systems
  • Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation
  • Flexible to respond to out-of-hours issues when required
