Job description

Location: On-Site (Static), Marylebone - Central London
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

GM Recruitment are partnering with a long-established, highly respected building contractor to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a prestigious static site in London.

The Role

You'll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance across a high-profile facility. This includes fault-finding, testing, repairs, and ensuring all compliance, safety and documentation standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs.
  • Conduct routine checks and inspections.
  • Manage and prioritise electrical workload across the site.
  • Complete all documentation accurately for audits and compliance.
  • Supervise subcontractors on site.
  • Ensure all work meets client, health & safety, and legislative standards.
  • Support mechanical, electrical and water treatment PPMs.
  • Work with BMS systems, including humidity controls.
  • Operate effectively within a museum or specialist environmental setting.
Essential Requirements
  • Level 3 C&G/NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition
  • NICEIC Testing & Inspection qualification
  • Experience working in a Facilities Management environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail
