Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Lancashire is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a 4 on 4 off days role. You will join a stable team responsible for ensuring factory uptime through proactive and reactive maintenance of both electrical and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a recognised engineering apprenticeship and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• Time-served engineer with an apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Experience in a multi-skilled role covering mechanical and electrical.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive maintenance and site PMs.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns.
• Work on both electrical and mechanical faults.
• Participate in engineering projects like installations.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Adhere to health and safety rules on site.

Maintenance Engineer

Overview

This is a great opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer looking to work a shift based role with a major manufacturing company in the area. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be joining an stable team with low turnover where you will play a key part in company growth. Main priorities for the maintenance engineer will include ensuring the factory is running up to speed and production levels are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Proactive maintenance and site PMs
• Reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns quickly
• Working across both electrical and mechanical faults and maintenance
• Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations)
• Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine output
• Adhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on site

Requirements

• Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
• Experience working in a Multi skilled role across mechanical and electrical engineering
• Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment.
