Job description
Maintenance Engineer

Location: Liverpool

Hours: Nights, 10.00pm to 6.00am)

Salary: £44kpa to £46kpa + Company Benefits

About the Role

Working for a UK leading manufacturer you will be working for a as part of a small, dedicated engineering maintenance team, providing essential support to production, working closely with team leaders and the QA department.

  • Performing TPM activities (electrical and mechanical) when production allows
  • Responding swiftly to breakdowns and fault-finding
  • Driving continuous improvement to enhance production performance and maintain quality standards
  • Collaborating across departments to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Carry out visual inspections throughout the facility
  • Support projects, including electrical installation of new equipment
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards
Your Skills & Experience
  • Electrically biased with solid mechanical knowledge (disassembly, pneumatics, hydraulics)
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems: motors, AC/DC drives, relays, sensors, pressure switches
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and I/O interpretation
  • City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent qualification
  • Computer literate with good communication skillsFlexible and proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience (training provided)
Site Machinery
  • Glass cutting and edge-working machines (including CNC)
  • Glass tempering furnaces and heat soak kilns
  • Double glazing manufacturing lines
  • Glass lamination ovens
  • Glass drilling machines and vacuum lifting equipment

Hours of work are Monday Friday, 10.00pm to 6.00am.

The starting salary is £45kpa to £46kpa depending on experience, with excellent company benefits.
