Overview

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Orion is partnered with a fast-paced manufacturing company who are recruiting for a confident electrically bias Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team

Applicants must be electrically biased and have a UK qualification.

Location: Kidderminster

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 DOE Shift premium Unlimited over time paid at time and a half on Saturdays and double time on Sundays.

Shifts

Double Day shifts:

Week: 1 Mon-Thurs 6:00-14.00 Friday 06:00 – 13:15

Week 2: Mon – Thurs 13:30 – 21:30 & Friday 12:30 – 19:00

Responsibilities
  • Reactive machinery maintenance in fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Fault finding on PLC’s
  • Electrical facilities maintenance
  • Diagnose faults ins in transformers, motors, relays etc…
  • Maintain tool room / die casting machinery
  • Working with sensors, inverters, relays, motors, gear boxes etc…
  • Troubleshooting
  • Continuous improvement
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery
  • Diagnose and replace faulty electrical or electronic components such as relays, switches, and motors.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and equipment.
Experience
  • City and guilds or NVQ in electrical engineering
  • Proven working history in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
  • PLC knowledge – being able to read input output and fault find
