Qualifications

Overview

Orion is partnered with a fast‑paced manufacturing company to recruit a confident, electrically biased Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team.

Shift Pattern

Double Day shifts:

  • Week 1: Mon–Thurs 06:00–13:15, Friday 06:00–13:15
  • Week 2: Mon–Thurs 13:30–21:30, Friday 12:30–19:00
Duties
  • Reactive machinery maintenance in fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Fault finding on PLCs
  • Electrical facilities maintenance
  • Diagnose faults in transformers, motors, relays, etc.
  • Maintain tool room / die casting machinery
  • Work with sensors, inverters, relays, motors, gear boxes, etc.
  • Troubleshooting
  • Continuous improvement
  • Test malfunctioning machinery
  • Diagnose and replace faulty electrical or electronic components such as relays, switches, and motors
  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and equipment
Experience
  • City and Guilds or NVQ in electrical engineering
  • Proven working history in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
  • PLC knowledge – able to read input/output and fault‑find
Requirements
  • Must be electrically biased and have a UK qualification
