Overview

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Tyseley

Salary: £44,421 - £46,696 p.a.

Next Generation are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work with a well-established engineering company based near Spark hill. As the Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for providing critical theoretical and technical knowledge whilst implementing innovative improvements in complex and unpredictable situations.

Shift patterns
  • Double days:
    • Week one (6:00am - 14:00pm)
    • Week two (14:00pm - 22:00pm)
  • Permanent back shift:
    • Static shift (14:00 - 22:00pm)
  • Permanent night shift:
    • Static shift, Monday - Thursday (22:00 - 06:00am)
    • Friday (17:00pm - 22.30pm)

Responsibilities
  • Conducting diagnostic investigation
  • Maintain and repair assembly and ancillary equipment in a safe and productive manner in order to maximise availability at optimum cost.
  • Adhere to the preventative maintenance programmes to ensure that unplanned downtime is to a minimum.
  • Defining key critical spares (budget control)
  • Improvement projects to drive sustained solutions
  • Root Cause Analysis to successfully implement Permanent Corrective Actions
  • Liaise and support engineering / Projects with the buy off process and new part introduction, highlighting snagging and influencing improvement plans.
Qualifications
  • 3 - 5 year's experience as a Maintenance Engineer (Essential)
  • Fault finding Robotics (Essential)
  • Fault finding, carrying out preventative maintenance (Essential)
  • Experience with Siemens S7 (Essential)
  • Fanuc / ABB qualification or equivalent
