Job summary

Pioneer-Selection-Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Park Royal, London, with a salary of £50,000–£60,000 plus a bonus and strong benefits. The role is dayshift, five days out of seven, with opportunities for future site expansion.

The successful candidate will manage planned maintenance, perform preventive tasks, and assist with reactive breakdowns to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting supporting production output.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and maintain schedules.
• Provide reactive maintenance/breakdown support as needed.
• Fault-finding and repair on a range of industrial machinery.
• Follow permit-to-work/site procedures and ensure safe operations.
• Support continuous improvement where possible (reliability, downtime reduction).

Job Role of the Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed has come to the forefront for a strong Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, fast-paced manufacturing site in Park Royal. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, organised, and proactive—supporting production by ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and keeping planned maintenance on track.

You will be responsible for planned maintenance activity with some reactive support as required, working closely with production to prioritise work and maintain safe, efficient operations.

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment
• Engineering qualification (minimum City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting supporting production output
• Ability to cover weekends as part of a 5-days-out-of-7 pattern

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and completing maintenance schedules
• Supporting reactive maintenance / breakdown response when required
• Fault‑finding and repair on a range of industrial machinery and production equipment
• Working safely at all times, following permit‑to‑work / site procedures
• Strong communication skills to liaise with production teams and prioritise tasks
• Supporting continuous improvement where possible (reliability, downtime reduction, housekeeping)
