Maintenance Engineer - North Greenwich, South East London - Up to £40,000

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Property company based in North Greenwich, South East London. I am currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to be based at a large mixed‑used estate situated in North Greenwich. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in commercial/property building maintenance and will carry out M&E/Fabric planned and reactive maintenance / installation across this large static site (Mixed‑Used Development including commercial offices, high‑end residential and sports venues).

Working with the maintenance team on site (6 Engineers over 17 buildings), you will be required to have hands‑on experience of the following. Our client is happy to consider maintenance engineers who have completed their apprenticeships and have some commercial building maintenance experience but want to learn. In return the company is offering a competitive salary, further training, overtime and the chance to work at this very unique and interesting site.

Key Duties
  • Lighting (small installation, fault‑finding, lam‑ping, changing ballast, control panel, power distribution)
  • Emergency lighting
  • Air Conditioning – Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (filter changes, cleaning)
  • Chillers – Re‑set
  • Water Treatment (temperature checks)
  • Plumbing – unblocking toilets
  • BMS System – monitor (hot & cold)
  • UPS Systems – monitor / take readings
  • General building fabric
  • Statatory compliance
  • HIU’s
Hours of Work

Monday to Friday – 08:00am to 17:00pm (40‑hour week)

Requirements
  • Mechanically or electrically qualified – you must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2
  • A proven track record in commercial or property maintenance
  • High‑end residential experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Happy to cover a large estate
  • Honest, hard‑working and reliable
Package
  • £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience
  • Overtime available
