Maintenance Engineer - Up to £45,000

Location: Static Site - Mayfair, London
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (with overtime when required)

We're seeking a proactive and dependable Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and compliance of building systems within a high-end, client-occupied site in Mayfair. This role suits someone who enjoys working autonomously, takes pride in maintaining an immaculate building environment, and delivers a consistently high level of service.

Key Responsibilities

Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM):

  • Carry out daily walkarounds to inspect floors, walls, doors, and general finishes for wear or damage.
  • Inspect BMS, fire alarms, leak detection systems, and other control panels.
  • Inspect plant rooms, lighting, and overall building condition.
  • Conduct weekly checks and maintenance of kitchen grease traps and shower traps.
  • Coordinate and schedule PPM activities with the helpdesk.
  • Complete painting and fabric repairs, including weekly office wall touch-ups during quieter periods.
  • Record all findings, elevate issues promptly, and ensure close-out of remedial works.

Reactive Maintenance & Site Operations:

  • Manage and prioritise daily reactive tasks using the client’s FM system.
  • Ensure all follow‑up actions are carried out efficiently and professionally.
  • Serve as the main point of contact on site for all maintenance‑related matters.
  • Support out‑of‑hours works (evenings/weekends) when required, including supervision of special events.
  • Join weekly catch‑up meetings with the client to discuss ongoing maintenance tasks, priorities, and upcoming works.
