Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Hereford to join a team responsible for maintaining and repairing plant and equipment through planned and reactive maintenance.   • Ensure all process equipment is maintained in a safe state.

Job description

Our prestigious Hereford-based client is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their Site Operations team to maintain and repair the plant and equipment on site through a combination of planned and reactive maintenance.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and correcting them
  • Ensure quick reaction to any breakdowns that occur
  • Maintain key spares for equipment and spare items of equipment
  • Maintain good level of housekeeping in maintenance room
  • Ensure all process equipment is maintained in a safe state
Additional Tasks/Areas for Development
  • General repair and upkeep of the building infrastructure
  • Control of contractors on site
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Schedule PPM and repairs for equipment
  • Produce costed item list for any planned works
Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required
  • Excellent knowledge of process equipment
  • Understanding of processes

Qualifications

Working Hours

x3 shift system - Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs per week - Permanent
